Our Services
Acupuncture
Treatments begin with a comprehensive medical intake so that the practitioner has a full understanding of your body’s current state. The pulse, tongue, and abdomen are observed to complete the diagnostic picture. The treatment is geared specifically to your unique condition, and may involve modalities such as acupuncture, cold laser, or micro-current. The patient rests in a deep state of relaxation for 30 minutes.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbal formulations were created as a nutritional supplement to regular acupuncture treatment. These herbs are prescribed based on your constitutional diagnosis and provide additional support in between acupuncture visits. While these herbs have physiological effects within the body, they also correspond to the same organ and meridian systems used in acupuncture theory. In order to ensure safe, quality products, we source our formulations from the most reliable companies with the highest quality herbs. Virtual consultations for Chinese herbs are available upon request.
Cupping
Fire cupping is a modality within Traditional Chinese Medicine and is a type of bodywork that promotes circulation, relieves pain, and regulates every organ, system, function, and emotion.
A flame is used to create a vacuum inside sterile glass cups which are typically placed on the back. The cups are left on certain points along the spine, or moved to other locations as needed. The cupping increases blood flow, relieves muscle pain, and is commonly used for neck and back pain, migraines, knee pain, and stress.
Cupping is also used for strengthening the immune system, regulating blood pressure, reducing fever, and treating insomnia.
Insurance
In California, acupuncture is an essential health benefit and insurance plans often cover treatment. Please call your insurance provider to find out the details of your coverage prior to your first visit. For acupuncture, we bill directly to most major health insurance companies for reimbursement. Dr. Snyder and Dr. Weina are out-of-network providers. We accept cash, check, and credit cards.
We provide a superbill upon request which the patient submits to their insurance company for possible reimbursement.
